LOOKING FOR A BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY?
TV Humboldt is only a very tiny piece of a much broader vision developed by the Folk Media Society. While you might not yet be able to catch the vision by looking at the TV Humboldt site, our unique business model holds the very real potential of establishing a strong new media-based economy in Humboldt County, making some serious profits in the process, and shifting the balance of power in global media away from enormous media corporations and toward the interests of the rest of us.
But it's more than a dream or a vision. There's a detailed strategy in place, ready to be implemented, to introduce a powerful new set of media business models that are designed to catch the future by surprise.
The media company of the future could be yours, for cheap -- or maybe even free! I'm ready to be very generous to the right person or group who's interested in implementing the plans and strategies I've laid out. Although I've put years of work into developing them, I'll consider giving away much, most, or maybe even all of my own economic stake in them if it'll help move the vision ahead. Although I'd like to eventually make money from these efforts, I'm more interested in seeing this plan deliver its benefits to the world. I'm not looking to control things either. It doesn't even have to happen under the "Folk Media Society" banner -- maybe it can be done by your existing company.
If a part of you would like to see the claims above come true, but you don't act due to an assumption it can't be done, then you're flat-out cheating yourself by not finding out just what's being offered here. You may be surprised.
To explore more deeply what our plan is about, please contact me.
Thanks.

We're interested in working with other locals to make the TV Humboldt platform the best thing ever, so don't be shy. E-mail us at citizenmediaman AT gmail DOT com to let us know what skill you have to help out. There may be possibilities for becoming a business partner for the right candidates. Some skills we currently could use are:
* PROGRAMMING: We're developing an innovative
new set of
web apps to empower video producers.
Proficiency
with
databases, social media tools and protocols, Flash, and e-commerce are big plusses.
* WEB DESIGN
* MARKETING
* VIDEO EDITING
* VIDEO CAMERA OPERATION
> No special skills? There are still lots of things we could use help with! For example, we could use help watching, cataloging and evaluating local YouTube videos for possible play on TV Humboldt. But lots of other needs pop up from time to time, so maybe you'd just like to be "on call" to help out on miscellaneous tasks? Please let me know. Again, that e-mail address is citizenmediaman AT gmail DOT com
> Donate your video &/or computer gear.
We could also use donated office space or studio space.
Finally, if you have other ideas how you can get involved, we'd love to hear them! Once more, just e-mail citizenmediaman AT gmail DOT com.
THANKS!
